B&M's High Voltage team completed $5.5 million in work at FirstEnergy's Glory substation in Clymer, PA.

Led by Project Manager Chris S., the team rebuilt the 115kV substation from the ground up. The work took ten phases and more than a year to complete. The scope included:

  • Demolishing existing structural steel, high voltage equipment and foundations
  • Pouring 75 new foundations
  • Installing below and above grade grounding and conduit
  • Installing all new 115kV equipment, overhead wire, aluminum bus and insulators
  • All power, relay and control wiring to the new and existing control house
  • Installing a new camera and security system

Work began in May 2021 and spanned 12 months. During that time, the team recorded a spotless safety record.

"The success of this project was due to this IBEW crew's leadership, organizational skills, and hard work during the project," said Chris.
