NORTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP, PA - Below-grade work is complete at the new Hickory Run Power Plant in North Beaver Township, near New Castle, PA. A team from Bruce & Merrilees was on-site for more than twelve months, installing temporary power and all underground conduits and grounding required for the project.
The project is significant because the customer, Kiewit Power Constructors, traditionally does not subcontract its electrical work. However, through a series of smaller projects, Bruce & Merrilees worked to build a positive relationship with Kiewit, which ultimately led the company to award B&M the work at Hickory Run.
The B&M team spent months assembling and installing the extensive network of underground cable conduits that will be used by the new power plant. Each team member's dedication to the project was apparent in the job's extremely low turnover rate, and our commitment to productivity has led the team to complete most of the work ahead of schedule.
